Care.com Nanny Share

Introducing Care.com Care Share, the easy way to connect with local families interested in sharing a caregiver.

Why choose a nanny share?

A caretaker allows families to enjoy many of the same benefits of same price tag. Yes, that means splitting the cost of the caretaker with another family to make it more affordable. A caretaker also allows families to balance individual attention for their children while gaining greater socialization with other families. An attractive blend of flexibility, convenience, individual attention, and affordability, care shares are becoming a great option for families.

A great tip for starting a successful caretaker is finding a family near you, with similar schedules and parenting styles. Searching for another family can feel like dating but the rewards may outweigh the effort. As long as there's continued communication to help set expectations for both the caretaker involved and the families, a care share may work well for all parties. However, families are dependent on each other to keep the arrangement going.

Considering sharing a caregiver? Be sure to do your homework: Nanny shares and shared care arrangements may be subject to various licensing requirements or prohibited in certain states and jurisdictions. Research local laws and regulations.

Hello! We are looking for another family to join our covid-19 bubble and nanny share full-time (Mon-Friday, 8-5pm) starting as early as possible. We have an almost 21 month old daughter and are looking for another family with a child of similar age. We live in Menlo Park, a block from Burgess Park and are looking for another family who lives nearby. Our home is smoke-free and pet-free. We are on the conservative end of the spectrum in terms of covid-19 prevention - we always wear masks when in populated areas and have not come into close physical contact with any people outside our nanny share bubble since the start of the pandemic. Our nanny is absolutely spectacular - Ema is punctual, responsible, observant, loving, playful, and a great communicator. She speaks both Spanish and English with the kids. She has many years of experience working as a nanny for babies and young children, she has her associate's degree in child development and is pursuing a bachelors degree. A little bit about our family - I'm a conservation biologist and work for Stanford, my husband Charles works for Varian Medical Systems as an attorney. M. is a curious and friendly baby who loves to be outside adventuring (as do her parents!) Look forward to hearing from you, Esther & Charles Our ideal nanny share: Ideally we would like to find another family with a similar aged toddler (21 months) to join our nanny share. Our daughter loves being outside, reading books, and playing the dirt.
